Minor Problem This seems like it should be aligned with the images below it. The nav should probably be aligned with the images as well. Use custom icons that match your theme and colors Summary:
I like how simple the design is and the darkness of everything brings the right amount of focus on the images.

Its always nice to find contact email on main page when im looking for this guy services (and i guess this is part of site purpose) -

This is only the landing page, the images are only links to the relevant gallery page. in version 2.3.1. on the rollover, text also comes up showing the category. Your right on the blank space at the bottom of the page - I had suggested content for the bottom of the page but it was declined. The general rule I am now using is "keep it simple, let the images do all the talking". Hopefull thats what I'm doing.

The different gallery pages are not uploaded here, but there will be more than 5 :) and we are just using a simple carousel with with sliding thumbnails beneath, while keeping the same texture background
Summary:
I like design. Clean , simple, artistic. But i dont like that i see only five photos and i need to click gallery to see rest. Common only thing that guy has is phtoos , use that :) Strategy should be 3, but i'll give 4 for simpliity and not putting info how good he is. Let photos speak:) Check notes for specifisc Cheers

Thanks for the advice. Not bothered if my client sees that site, I prefer my own to be honest but I'll show it to him anyway. Really dont like the tacky book effect used for images either.
Hopefully my site wont throw up the same warning as his did when i went to it!! (AVG : Accessed file is infected! ) You might want to give you machine a virus scan mate!
I should put up the planned galleries but Im still waiting for content, but they will be a carousel that will allow the client to upload new images to whatever gallery he wants.

Have you considered how this will look in differing resolutions?
I agree with above comments on contrast of menu abd the logo.
Great design but if I view this on my 1440x960 resolution I feel the strips in center will be a little lost.
Also the lack of content on here will make this a SEO nightmare.
