| 1 | This could be a little more bold. Tough because it is well balanced already. |
| 2 | This is nice friendly copy. However, the serif font with the dark red may be more friendly and stand out more if it were green. |
| 3 | I suppose you just want to drive traffic here with your blog. However, you may want to add thumbnails and expand it. |
| 4 | Very friendly, great. Could be a more friendly treatment though. Maybe organic green. |
| 5 | This is very important as clients tend do odd things like use the phone instead of email and have even been known to, gasp, use the phonebook. |

| 1 | Nice logo. Make sure to use -9999px text-indent to hide the actual text. This is fine for SEO and a well documented technique. |
| 2 | Love the tabs. Very unique. |
| 3 | Back it up with action, love it. |

| 1 | Nice header. The three links in the top dont' feel consistent though. Could these links be integrated with the rest? |
| 2 | Nice. How about a switcher box right here? |
Great work! I love the concept of theming it as an organic farm. There is design company in Florida that has an orange farm theme. It seems like you were inspired by them. If you were, kudos because what you did here is still totally unique. I think you could push the organic farm concept farther without confusing people. Icons of fruit, fruit trees, a monitor with fruit labels on it, etc.. If you get anything from my review its "use friendly colors". Your colors are muted and consistent but I think you could introduce a nice green or warm orange and still keep things organized.
I hope that was helpful.

| 1 | Organic marketing copy overpowers the software and solutions text |
Wow this is interesting - obviously i like the design, its got a lovely feel to it... well done.
But unfortunately i was confused as to what your site was about for a while... i looked at your header - and immediately thought you sold organic food:) The software and solns text is such a light weight its overpowered by everything else. I totally missed it.
After looking at header i immediately glanced at the mid section and thought it looked out of place... I thought - why is there a small interface element with such a different style put on this page? the small text here i didnt notice.
Then looked at the footer area in grey and read the testimonial- and got really confused. Only then did i look back to the middle of the page and read that you create beautiful websites, organic seo etc...
So - the concept itself is really interesting... and the design is wonderful - but need to establish more clearly what you do.
good luck with it:)
oh - nice logo:)
thanks, very helpful
"Organic Marketing", "Software and Solutions". Seems pretty obvious to me.
First off , great site. Love the idea & design. good job R C , But while I loved your review Tai I have to agree with River on this, I think it takes a few seconds too long to figure out what Kukui do.
There is something fantastic about the site but the core message needs to be more obvious. What about all those people who never heard of "Organic Marketing"

| 1 | The background concept is well done. It compliments the site title. But, does it work with your actual services? |
| 2 | There's so much space throughout this page, but the header is cramped near the navigation. Use an alternative method for placing the support links. Consider the footer or just making them part of the main nav. |
| 3 | This idea is good, but not quite finished. The tree draws in the user, but the text is squished and there's not enough color contrast to stand out. Scale up the tree so there's more padding around the text and consider making the tree darker. |
| 4 | This text looks nice, but it's a graphic and will not help your SEO. If you are going for SEO, consider html and css here.
|
| 5 | You already have a field with grass and trees at the top so it shouldn't be used again here. I'd go with an abstract background/texture to keep the focus on the content. |

| 1 | Simple 3 step process. Excellent. Will this be a jquery toggle? |

| 1 | Could use some color in these calendar icons. |
Nice work on the design. I think the organic concept in the top half of the site is really good. The site is simple and clean, therefore effective. Consider these tweaks and you'll be in good shape.
Thanks, Andy!

designI like very much the colors and all the site. Its very atractiv.
| Minor Problem on home4cf.jpg | |
| 1 | You don't really need your brand name here again |
| 2 | Flatten this out, the arc is goofy looking |
| 3 | The alignment on this whole section is a bit awkward. It feels like it's floating. |
| 4 | The right side of the site is pushed in by some pixels here, line everything up with the right side of the navigation menu. |
| 5 | These links are odd up here. Maybe you can find somewhere else to put them, and use the space to make the nav a bit bigger. |
| 6 | This just feels very out of place |
| Serious Problem on home4cf.jpg | |
| 1 | The main content is a bit lost here. The bulleted list doesn't stand out over anything else. You could probably use images or at least more exciting bullets.
The button is awkwardly aligned and doesn't provide much information. You'd be better off de-emphasizing this link and moving it to the right or left and using the button in the header area as your only real CTA. |
| 2 | This section isn't really clear. I assume it's a portfolio section but it's not really obvious what's going on. Does it cycle, is there any way to navigate it or not? |
| Positive Feature on home4cf.jpg | |
| 1 | I like the cut-in framing. I think it could be emphasized a bit more still. |
| New Idea on home4cf.jpg | |
| 1 | I think you can do something a lot more interesting looking with the tabs. They could probably be bigger and a different font would be a good choice. |
| Other on home4cf.jpg | |
| 1 | This would work much better as a larger button with more active text. |
The overall feel of the site is nice, and it's a really good basis but there are still some pretty major flaws.
I think you can use a bit of extra vertical padding in the main content area. Maybe increase the content area size as well. It feels a bit squished.
I'm not sure if the color scheme is entirely working. The green feels very out of place. I think you could fool around a bit more with colors.
I'd search for better typography for your headers. The italic serif font doesn't fit well. Even just getting rid of the italics would help.
The background in the footer feels unbalanced. It's very left-heavy and doesn't seem to be counter-balanced. The background quotes don't help it. The header illustration is very nice.
I like the layout and use of shadows and highlights but not sure what you mean by sustainable marketing. The graphics speak more about green and sustainable energy, not being organic. I would play up the organic part, use veggies and farms instead of energy/green graphics.
Also needs a color thrown in with all those neutrals, maybe if you use farm graphics or heirloom seed packets that have an antique feel and neutral colors, that would give the site a quaint farmer's market feel.
Here is an invitation I concepted for to give you an idea of the seed packet: http://thebecheragency.com/ideas-results/catalog/2-industry/40-lanford-brothers.html
| Minor Problem | |
Text in tree looks squishedThe text inside the tree needs more breathing room. I recommend either increasing the size of the tree relative to the text. It looks squished right now.
Quite nice. I think there is much more working well here than is not working. I think the logotype is pretty solid. The color scheme is good, though it seems a little drab. Perhaps brightening it up (maybe a bit more red to the brown, etc.) would help.

| 1 | I think you are wasting real estate above the fold. |
How do the sub-pages look like? Usually there you find the usability problems...
| Minor Problem on home4cf.jpg | |
| 1 | The font and styling here are actually too much like what an actual organic market or green grocer might use. I don't expect to find software and website services on offer. |
| 2 | I think this concept is confusing. I see words like 'organic' and 'sustainable', pictures of wind turbines; so I expect this to have something to do with lowering my carbon footprint, green issues, etc. Instead this is all just a metaphor for how you will help clients grow their businesses. |
| Minor Problem | |
The lookYou are pushing real hard with this metaphor of Sustainability...it could get old if it is too prevalent in the site. Do you have real Green Values to back it up? Are your servers wind powered? Do you donate to environmental groups? Do you do pro-bono work for environmental activists? (By the way the latter is quite needed).
| Positive Feature | |
Love the lookThe colors and textures are fresh and bold.
Thanks, I always end up with colors that are too muted.
