Daniel
This is a vast improvement from your current one!
A few tweaks and it will be awesome!
See attached it was easier to mock up than explain.
Good Luck!
I've just made a couple of changes, could you have another look? Thanks.
Nicely done Aaran :)

| 1 | align this are as Aaran had done in his mockup |
| 2 | this is the piece I'm curious as to how you would code it |
| 3 | these input fields would look better if they were the same width. |
| 4 | left align this send button |
Hi Daniel - This concept looks much better than your current site. The color combos work well, it is pretty dark, but I like dark sites.
From a developer point of view, I'm curious about the form pieces you are showcasing. How would you code the input fields for user name and password and the button once you start building out the page itself ? I like the idea of it, but it just seems impractical to me.
Please see my notes...
Thanks for the notes! I will probably implement all of them into the final design. I would probably use another page for each of the different developments, and code each one individually to that project.
V3 looks much better....nice job!

Yay! Thanks.

| 1 | I feel this needs to have a blocky look. how about stretching input box for the 'name' and 'email' to have same widths with the 'message' box? The send button is also missing... |
| 2 | how about putting their icons here... I feel the site is dominated with text |
| 3 | I feel putting the social media icons here |
Hi Daniel, I like the way you structure your concept and I also like the colors of it. It's pretty solid. I also like what Aaran did with your design. Aaran fix some of your alignment issues. I'm a bit curious on how your other pages would look like.
I'll just add some note to the stuff that I think needs some tweaking.
For me, Overall it's Great! Good Job!
Thanks for the decent review and the notes! I'll be sure to look at each one. For the social media icons, I forgot to change them back to their standard state as I was thinking of using the ones shown in the concept as the hover states. Also, thanks for the notes on the footer as I was struggling of things to put.
your 3rd version is looking nice.. do you have plan posting other pages?
Yep, I've got a free day today so I'll probably have a couple of pages up by the end of the day.

| 1 | The text needs some more spacing between lines. |
| 2 | The navigation items are blending together, adding some space between them would be good. |
| Serious Problem | |
NavigationI think there is no need for horizontal rules and icons. Try just to remove them. Then add a bit more (just few pixels) spacing between navigation items.

| 1 | Too much visual tension here. |
Agree with all suggestions above, plus i would take a closer look at micro whitespaces. Also, maybe separate footer by some more pixels from content?
Overall, i like it. Good luck!

| 1 | Should be flush left |
| 2 | type to small - not readable |
| 3 | try a 70% shade of gray to lighten the field backgrounds |

| 1 | Some of these links don't look clickable at a glance. Slight visual affordance issue (which means) a situation where an object’s sensory characteristics intuitively imply its functionality and use.
A button, by being slightly raised above an otherwise flat surface, suggests the idea of pushing it. A lever, by being an appropriate size for grasping, suggests pulling it. A blinking red light and buzzer suggests a problem and demands attention. A chair, by its size, its curvature, its balance, and its position, suggests sitting on it.
An affordance is a desirable property of a user interface – software which naturally leads people to take the correct steps to accomplish their goals.
The common psychological term for this is stimulus-response compatibility. |

Hi Daniel
Overall, this is a nice, concise layout.
I hope this helps.

Thanks for the great review! I'll try out a lighter alternative, but dark websites have always been my style so I think it would be best to show this in my portfolio.
As for the links, I was actually using the lighter blue text as either an emphasis to attract attention or as a little "sub heading." However, after seeing everyones feedback about using the lighter blue color, I will have another look at maybe using underlines as you suggested.
Also, thanks for the link to the carousel design pattern, I will look in to it.
Thanks again.

Solid, CleanLooks good. I like the first two concepts shown alot. The single color is clean and minimal. I'd try to establish a little more hierarchy as far content down the page goes.
I really can't complain much about this design. Everything looks very good and how it should be. The light source in the background is a nice touch. I like the second and third concepts the best. It splits up the page better. The only thing I would try it maybe trying to separate the header from the body a bit more.

| you have contact us in main navigation bar, then you have social media icons near navigation then you have contact me links in the footer and also in footer you have contact form .... remove some of them .... )) | |

| Template is nice but i don't like forms. | |
Please do add a valuable and helpful reviews... Not just one line comment.

Like your use of light blue for linksMaybe you shoudn't use it for emphasis e.g. "Nah it's just a litttle fun" or "future career in the web" unless these are actually links.
| Minor Problem on It's getting there...png | |
| 1 | Think the fields should be a lighter colour to show them |
This is fine for a early stab. I think it would be infinitely better if you could introduce some graphic element into it. At the moment it is predominantly dark background and text.
Thanks for the review! Maybe some icons for the navigation? Any other critism's would be great.
I've just made a couple of changes, could you have another look? Thanks.
Very nice site! Simple but strong. Excellent balance of elements.
Thanks.

Send button? At the bottom there's no button to send you a message.

Background gradientNice soft gradient in the background complements the content nicely.
Color schemeColor scheme is easy on the eyes and attractive.
This one is definitely a lot better than your current portfolio; the font and color scheme are both more professional IMO.
Thanks for the kind words. I've included a send button in my second version :)
Don't know how I managed to forget the send button. Thanks for the reminder!
