So, having built and designed Magento sites, I know the limitations of this great ecommerce system, and I think the idea is a good one, as Magento is a complex beast!
Color Scheme is nice works well together, however I think that you should change it around a bit, maybe look at the footer being in the grey and the header have more Orange in it...
Also with CTA buttons add in another color such as green, to really make it pop, and grab the eye!

I think you can put a little green on the page, that can make a good contrast with orange and gray.Minor Problem on master.jpg 1 It's kinda crowded here, try to reduce the words and add more line spacing so it can breath a bit... It needs more white space. -

Also make the spacings in other elements consistent. 3 the lines are bit too harsh, try to subtle it a bit. like reduce 20%-30% opacity. 4 remove the .co and nz and add some contrast too it, like changing the color. 5 needs some space at the top and bottom part of the image. It looks like it's gonna touch the lines. You can either reduce the images or add some padding at the top and bottom part of those images. Summary:

This is a great layout for magento. I like the simplicity and cleanliness of the design. though needs to have more colors in some parts of the elements. Just see my notes.

Minor Problem Footer elements needs to re-arranged perfectly Serious Problem you need to increase the space between the menu and the banner also increase the same space between the banner and the 6 text areas. Positive Feature i think this layout will be very good on white background Minor Problem on master.jpg 1 I find it quite hard to read this font. 2 Too much text here to read - particularly if a slider. New Idea on master.jpg 1 I would maybe try just View Our Templates as a larger button as I assume that's what the majority of visitors you wish them to do. 2 It would strike me that most people will try to click for the free template where as I assume you want people to view your commercial templates? Maybe move this to another of your sliders so the first thing people see if the button to view your templates. 3 Is this really needed? Other on master.jpg 1 Doesn't really stand out. Needs something to give it more emphasis. 2 Why have this here? Or is it just a place holder/SEO? 3 What's this for? Summary:
I find that there is too much going on. The general layout I like once there is more focus on what you want people to do. Do you want them to view your templates? order a custom template? download the free template?

Minor Problem on master.jpg 1 Looks like more text than anyone will take time to read. I'd go with 3-5 bullet points, and maybe 2 sentences after that. New Idea on master.jpg 1 Instead of this being one color it would look really nice as a gradient that matches your buttons above. Summary:
Overall it's looking good, I would just slim down the text description like I highlighted.
I think adding an area for testimonials would be great too with links to existing work you've done. Perhaps a few of your slides could be testimonials to save you the trouble of adding another section.
Summary:
There seems to be too much text on the splash, it needs to be kept within a paragraph.
