location hard to readThe spacing of letters in the address box (specifically the "located inside") make the words difficult to read. It appears like you crammed a bunch of words in there to fit. You can probably drop the word "Located" and do soemthing like "Inside TrueusDell Salon & Span @"

Color SchemeI really enjoy the color scheme you selected for the card. The contrast between background colors and font colors "should" make it easy to read. There are some issues with fonts that change this fact, but i will get to that later.
As I said in my notes above I really enjoy the color scheme. It sets a specific mood for your hair studio. The gray swirls behind the text look like long hairs (as intended, i assume).
I disagree with the other reviewer that the card is too busy. If you leverage more "white space" on the card in may feel less crowded.
Also, give the URL some more padding from the city, state row to leverage the available space better.
Thank you!
Thanks. I am glad you got the concept of the hair in the background. I will be reposting tonight.
The card is way too busy with elements that are competing for dominance. There are too many different font styles, such as weight, size, and kerning that are pulling my eye in all directions. You also have some alignment issues.
In this case, simple is best so I'd like to recommend the following:
Is this the real logo? If not, move the hair studio under 'ence' and make the text smaller so it fits in this space.
Thanks for your comments.
Well surprising, I only used two fonts on the card. The bus. name is one and the rest of the text is all in the same font, one is just bolder than the other.
I was very undecided on where to place hair studio, because it has to be on there, but I didnt want it to look out of place either.
There is no logo for the bus. yet. Just the name.
The swirls is an abstract art that resembles strands of hair, so he wants to keep the swirls. Thanks for the comments. I will realign the text and resize them to see if it makes it better.
Thanks
You got it. I'll be more than happy to review again if you'd like.

| 1 | This will print black you will see nothing |
| 2 | background too busy? why are you covering your own background? this is not a good design solution. the problem is you need to figure out the probem first. that your font is so thin that over this background it becomes unreadable |
| 3 | Waaay too close to the border, aesthetically as well as technically it might get chopped off by the vistaprints of the world |
| 4 | you are trying to be elegant, but this looks like a label maker strip. the reason, the rounded font, and the strip behind it. |
| 5 | yes I know what you are going for but that is hard to pull of unless you know what that is exactly. I will tell you, it's called contrast and tension. this achieved by visual weight, sometimes color or cultural connotations (old vs.new). However contrast (like other things in design) is best when use with restraint. here there are so many differences that the are disconnected. you have the compressed version of an extremely pedestrian and vertically oriented font in an exaggeratedly thin weight against an overly adorned slanted handwriting font(generally associated with bad wedding invitations). there is just nothing to connect these two |

| 1 | what is this anyway? elegant hair? seems like it's in your way like since you strugle with it..why not just take it out? |
When you are starting out in design there are a few tools you can rely on to get by until you master more complex themes.
The sample below uses Quicksand and Windsong from www.fontsquirrel.com

I like the layout of the card below, but I don't like the font for the bus name and Hair Salon seems so big.
I'm just afraid that when I print it the address will be too small
| Serious Problem on PJcardfinal2.png | |
| 1 | add more white padding on the left and right side of the name. Move it a bit more to the right to accomodate the new padding |
| 2 | remove the shadow for the letter, looks off since all the rest dont have shadows |
| Critical Problem on PJcardfinal2.png | |
| 1 | remove white background, make the font white with no shadows. make the font smaller and move this just below the company name |
| 2 | Make font smaller, then move to the bottom left side of the card and left align this. |
| 3 | Make this white opaque, it interferes with the name |
| 4 | I don't quite like the swirly background, it looks messy. How about you remove it and retain it black |
it looks a bit messy, you want to show off elegance and design in your card especially since it's a salon.
The fonts generally need to be smaller so that it won't look crowded.
I think with a few adjustments this will look great!
LIke the colors, it's a little too busy.
Something with the layout or dark background is just not working for me.
Thanks, I will space out the font a little more to make it less condensed. I like the idea about just inside and dropping located.
Thanks for your comment.
