I prefer 5 and 7. I like the ampersand and darker blue in 5 and in 7 I think I'd like it a little more if there ampersand were straight and perhaps not as "twirly" at the end. Good stuff!
I like it! It's nice that you're trying to add dimension Just a minor thing, I'm starting to have issues with the line, I can't quite describe why but as soon as I figure it out I'll let you know! Maybe go for the badge look? (Like embroidered badge with stitch lines, not Police badge)
hmmm..yeah..ill experiment on that..with and without the line too...^_^

| 1 | This B seems to be off baseline and somehow like it is tilting away or "falling-off" to the right
|
See my note about the baseline of the B. If i have to choose, I like 1 and 5, my choice is primarily driven by the ampersand. The other two seem distracting and out of place. In 1 the ampersand should be white and the blue of BLU like that of 4.

Blu doesn't make me feel that wayI like your treatment of Blu; in terms of color and overall presentation I prefer #6 among those presented. It's the cleanest, and easiest to read. With that said, I'm not crazy about the "Web & Graphics" copy or the font used for the treatment. The second line seems to take away from the visual appeal of the logo. A circle or square boarder around the logo may give it a bit more kick.

1,3,5,6The darker blue is definately not friendly. Keep in mind how some computer monitors vary in shade. I can barely see the & in 1 and 3. For that very reason number 4 wins it for me.
| Positive Feature | |
Clean & SimpleDude, i really like the concept - it's a really clean logo and graphic.
| |
| Other | |
Winner #4The & is find in this... the eye barely reads it, and thats good because it's not important. A 3 second look says BLU | WEB | GRAPHICS. Actually when i write this it could be mistaken for a porn site lol.

Overall i think you accomplished your mission. I like 4 and 7 best as they are simple and clean.
The horizontal line gives a nice break without getting in the way.
thanks for your review! a vote up would be nice..^_^
Simple effective marks.
I like 4 and 6 and 7 Number 7 is the best mark.
thanks so much for your review! you think i should use the blue in 4 and 7 and the bigger ampersand? what about the line?
The thin rule is also a good element - it helps establish a baseline separation.
| Serious Problem on blu-web-and-graphics.jpg | |
| 1 | hard to read |
| 2 | too plain, like the layout of the ' & ' of number 7 much better |
| Positive Feature on blu-web-and-graphics.jpg | |
| 1 | I like both of these, both stand out the most to me over the others. |

| 1 | this is my absolute favorite, love the disk and the colors really pop, would look best on a dark background like the one in this mockup, I think on white it would seem too loud.
|
my favorite is the one on it's own image, seems to be almost the same as the other two I like (4 and 7) - the font is nice and simple and the color of the blue really pops on both light and dark backgrounds. I would hire you with this, love the simplicity.
You executed it really well, I love the color blue of number 7 and the ampersand. It is elegant and playful as what you would have wanted in your description. And it works much greater when you added the circular border and the background. Job well done!
thanks so much for that review jap! ^^ i like number 7 too and its color.
I like all 7 concept logos tbh but i would personally go for the 4th of 7th logo as baby and light blue are my fav colors but also these stand out.
Love the 2nd image with your logo in a circle :D
I very much like 4 and 7; I like the size of the ampersand and the shade of blue over the others.
I do think the character spacing between the B and L is a little too wide, though it appears not as bad in number 4. It just stands out because of the connection made between the L and the U.
thanks for the review..i already fixed that line in the second image..^_^
| Serious Problem on blu-web-and-graphics.jpg | |
| 1 | The rule looks fairly awkward partly because the spacing between the rule and the two texts is different, it's too close to the main logo. |
| 2 | Step back and when you see this, the first thing you will see is "Web Graphics". The rest is difficult to see, there's not enough contrast between the logo and the background. |
| 3 | I dislike this font, it's too stylized and it's going to be difficult to read for some people. Because your "Blu" is stylized, I'd keep this text in a more simple font for better readability. I also really dislike the way the ampersand infringes on the words, it looks messy.

| Critical Problem on blu-web-and-graphics.jpg | |
| 1 | Using this blue, the ampersand is almost invisible |
| Positive Feature on blu-web-and-graphics.jpg | |
| 1 | This is the best logo. Why? Colour contrast! It is the only one which is visible on both the white and black background. With the others, the darker blue is not distinguishable enough from the black. For anyone who's sight is not quite as good as yours or mine they are going to be very difficult logos to see. The lighter blue has a more cheerful, airy feel too, the others look a little drab.

Excellent Brand HighlightingThe brand and logo is clean and simple and uncluttered. The subtext is great, the brand itself is completely ambiguous without it
Prefer 4 and 6For your dark logo, I would go with 4, the others the main brand is too washed out with the BG. For the light logo I would go with 6, it pops more then 7 but is a more interesting shade of blue then the more navy blue(ish) 5
| Positive Feature | |
Nice Nice NiceVery clear. Very legible. Very smart choice in mixing type-faces. Curb-side appeal is very very high. Great job.
Reall love the design. The color of blue you use depends on the background (black or white). If I were to pick, I like the black bg, white and lt blue logo.
Either way, choose one as your brand standard and the B&W the inverse if need be.
Thank you so much for your review! I think i prefer using it on a black bg too..^^
The ampersand's size looks just about right in 3 & 6.
This isn't a review and should be struck off, you are wasting Dan's time, and quite frankly irritating other CF members... go play in traffic!
Wait minute. I indicated my review earlier. Why didn't It get published?
I edited the review. I got confused with note and review.
Aaran could have been for instructuve and helpful as this was my first review.
I never though CF community members are such elitists.... very disappointing.
A very strong concept. I prefer the third one, but I don't care much for any of the shades of blue you've chosen, but that's just me. I like more intense color. The larger ampersand is easier to see and the line just ties the whole thing together.
| Minor Problem | |
| I don't like the colors in 4 and 7. | |
| Serious Problem | |
| None of the logos comes out very well on a black background, esp. the ampersand. | |
| New Idea | |
| Try using a font with less curves and curls for the BLU | |
I like 1 and 5 the most. That comes closes to what you want to achieve in my opinion. The others have an ampersand that gives me a feeling complexity.
thank you for your review..^^ i shall experiment on that..in the mean time i uploaded an image of number 7 with a background..
